On April 20, 2007, the Company acquired a 50.0% ownership interest in EAUC. EAUC was incorporated in February 18, 1993 and since 1997 has operated a thermal plant with a net dependable capacity of 44MWwithin theMEPZ1 export processing zone in Mactan island near Cebu. The EAUC plant is the sole provider of electricity to MEPZ 1, which is delivered to meet the stringent requirements of semiconductor firms, electronics manufacturers and other companies operating within MEPZ 1.
